So, today L-town decided to get ridiculously cold and sleet/snow/rain.
I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it!
I love being cold. I love rain. I love school cancellations. There is nothing better than getting out of school early and heading home to my Sadie Jane. Sadie Jane was not happy with me by the time I got home because I had to put her out in the mess and Miss Priss doesn't like to be cold, wet and alone. I thought it would have been mean to lock her in a tiny bathroom, so outside she went. I'm sorry, Sadiekins. I still heart you. And whether you choose to admit it or not, you heart me too. Even if you are a bit pissy at the moment.
Because I really haven't done much today, I will leave you with two of my favorite songs (complete with videos) today. You're welcome.
Lady Antebellum--American Honey
Their new CD is amazing, and I definitely hope they win a Grammy on Sunday. Check out the lead singer's (the girl) heels. Wowza! I'm impressed. And seriously, why couldn't I be blessed with her body? Life is just not fair. Sigh.
Jaron and the Long Road Home--Pray for You
This song is beyond hilarious. And he was still able to get the point across without cussing or screaming. Love it.
Lyrics
I haven't been to church since I don’t remember when
Things were goin’ great ‘til they fell apart again
So I listened to the preacher as he told me what to do
He said you can’t go hatin’ others who have done wrong to you
Sometimes we get angry, but we must not condemn
Let the good Lord do His job and you just pray for them
I pray your brakes go out runnin’ down a hill
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the head like I’d like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you’re flyin’ high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are honey, I pray for you
I’m really glad I found my way to church
‘Cause I’m already feelin’ better and I thank God for the words
Yeah I’m goin’ take the high road
And do what the preacher told me to do
You keep messin’ up and I’ll keep prayin’ for you
I pray your tire blows out at 110
I pray you pass out drunk with your best friend and wake up with his and her tattoos
I pray your brakes go out runnin’ down a hill
I pray a flowerpot falls from a window sill and knocks you in the head like I’d like to
I pray your birthday comes and nobody calls
I pray you’re flyin’ high when your engine stalls
I pray all your dreams never come true
Just know wherever you are, near or far, in your house or in your car,
wherever you are honey, I pray for you.
I pray for you
Sadie and I are off to slumber and read and watch movies in bed. Life is good.
