Wise Words

*Don’t trust your heart; trust God with your heart.

*God’s will for your life will always line up with His law, His principles, and His wisdom.

*It is next to impossible to hear the voice of wisdom if we are not really listening for it to begin with.

*"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

*What gets our attention determines our direction and, ultimately, our destination.

*The principle of the path in 3 words: attention, direction, destination

*The things you give your attention to functions as the directional beacon for your life.

*When we resist God’s will for our lives, we are in essence resisting God. When we resist the priorities he has established for us through Scripture, we resist him.

*Knowing doesn’t make the difference. Doing does.

Romans 5:6-8---"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Revelation 21:3-4---"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

So my prayer is this:
God, give me a glimpse of that day, fill me with the hope of heaven. Let me remember that you make all things new, and suffering will one day be abolished. Also, help me to trust you in the midst of sorrow, and be drawn close to you, experiencing you more intimately and loving you more passionately. I yearn to see you face to face!
