Proverbs

If someone gets identity, income, satisfaction or influence by mocking others, appealing to reason is utterly useless.

Proverbs 9:7-8:
"Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse. Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.

Proverbs 13:1:
"A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke."

Proverbs 16:18:

”Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”

Proverbs 21:24:
"The proud and arrogant man-"Mocker" is his name; he behaves with overweening pride."

Proverbs 29:8:
"Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger."
