Howdy folks!
My name is Sophie (Sophie Grace when I'm in trouble which is pretty much every day), and I'm my Momma's newest child puppy. She found me in her backyard one day and just could not force herself to turn away.
She tells me often that I am the "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" dog because my ears are so big, but I just ignore her pretend I can't hear with these satellite things that humans refer to as "ears". By the way, I'm much cuter than homeboy Pedro.
At first, my prissy big sister Sadie Jane was not fond of me. I'd like to think it was jealousy, but I'll never know for sure.
When I'm not chewing on bones on the black shag rug in the living room, causing all the threads to scatter everywhere, I'm usually sleeping or stuffing my belly. Darn it, she got a new rug that I can no longer chew up. *Insert puppy dog eyes here*
Speaking of my belly, Momma always laughs at me after dinner. Apparently my little belly swells after I eat and she thinks it is precious. I can't help it; I love me some food. Iams mini chunks are my favorite. A little birdy (Sadie is SUCH a tattle tale; sigh) told me that when that food comes out the other end (my tooshy), it is lethal--I could knock some people out with that stench--lucky for me, my nose is selective. I can detect food in China, but my toots? Nah. And yes, passing gas and burping is a favorite activity of mine, much to the dismay of Sadie and my Momma. Maybe one day I'll get some manners.
Sometimes Sadie and I chase each other all around the house and then just lay down in the middle of the floor (all four paws in the air) after we get tired of chasing each other. When I really want to make Sadie angry, I try to bite her back legs during the chase. She gets fed up and usually rolls over and puts her paws in the air. She shows her teeth, but hasn't fought back by biting my head off just yet; I feel my time is coming though. Uh oh.
Sadie and I have definitely grown to love each other. She's my little play mate and I'm her annoying and darling little sister pup. It's a tough household sometimes when you get both us divas on our high horses, but we make it work pretty well.
If I'm feeling especially sassy, I run under the couch to get away and it really drives my Momma batty. What can I say? I don't wanna go outside all day. And sometimes, I just don't wanna go to bed. One day they will know that I run this place, NOT them. Moving on.
When it's finally time for bed, I get under the covers and sleep right next to my Momma and Sadie Jane. I'm a pretty good snuggle bug and sleep through the night. She might make me sleep in a crate should I pull shenanigans and interfere with her sleep. And honestly, you don't think I could survive if I were suddenly in such circumstances, do you? I didn't think so.
All in all, I love my life. I'm hungry, I get food. I'm cold, I get cuddled. I get to sleep in the world's comfiest bed with my cute little family. I'm a blessed and happy Chiweenie. I hope I live a long and happy life with Sadie Jane and the best Momma ever.
Well folks, I think it might be dinner time now. And this little princess is tired of typing. So, I'll leave it at this for now, but I'll try to check back in soon.
Stay Cute!
