It's the Little Things and my BIG God

My life has been wonderful lately. Just like it pretty much always is.

And one of the things that has been adding to the wonderful-ness is the music in my life. I have a pretty expansive music library on my computer/iPod. I make my own CDs for my car because I HATE the millions of commercials that come on instead of music and because I can control what I listen to. I tend to wear out songs. Glee's rendition of Bad Romance is currently on repeat if you were to join me in my car. It rocks.

I've also loved concerts. And I've been blessed to experience tons of concerts. As much as I love concerts, they obviously don't last forever (I mean even CELINE can only perform for so many hours straight without falling over from exhaustion). After the concerts are over and I'm back at home reliving them, I LOVE watching concert DVDs, too.

I caught a Collin Raye DVD on Amazon for super cheap last week and it got here today and people, it is amazing! I've always liked his music, but this just reminded me of how amazing he is. He has some of the best songs. A lot of them are slow mellow songs but I'm really loving them lately! He just rocks, if you ask me.

Who could forget "Love, Me"? If you haven't heard it, find it online and listen. It's so sweet.

I think this song pretty much sums up life in about three minutes:

We are born one fine day
Children of God on our way
Mama smiles daddy cries
Miracle before their eyes
They protect us til' we're of age
Through it all love remains

Boy moves and takes a bride
She stands faithful by his side
Tears and sweat they build a home
Raise a family of their own
They share joy they share pain
Through it all love remains

Kingdoms come and go they don't last
Before you know the future is the past
In spite if what's been lost
What's been gained we are
Living proof love remains

I don't know baby what I'd do
On this earth without you
We all live we all die
We don't know the reason why
In the end nothing's changed
Life goes on love remains
In the end it stays the same
Life goes on love remains

When I've been getting ready for work in the morning, I have been watching the Casting Crowns live DVD I have. They are as amazing as they have ever been. And I found out today (Thank you, Twitter) that Casting Crowns has a new live CD/DVD coming out in August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited about this? As soon as it can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com you can bet that I'll be ordering it!

And just for the sake of consistency, here is an amazing Casting Crowns video, with a message that describes my life with one short question: Who am I that You would know my name?

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

It's the little things that just make my life amazing: music, concerts, fun times, love.

And the Big God who chose long ago to save me when I was so undeserving.
